Of all things, this may be the underlying problem. I saw a cardiologist yesterday due to a positive BNP of 250. Not too high, but high enough to say 'yep, there's a problem.' Thursday will bring bilateral venous dopplers, echocardiogram, and 24 hour holter monitoring. And our first ballgame.
I'm having a Bartles & Jaymes moment..."Thank you for your support."

I was just wondering how the bnp test went. (I admittedly was googling it to find out more).
B&J is MUCH better with a shot of vodka thrown in. :)
What is a bnp?
Also, if you have to go to UMC for a sleep study, do take pictures of yourself. :)
I ate some Fernandos in your honor today.
I realize that doesn't help your BMI issue or mine, but I was having a bad day!
OK, I finally had to look up Union on the map. I had no idea where it was.
It is amazing to me how I continue to unmask my sheer stupidity.
supermom, don't blink when you come through-you'll miss it. 2,000 population. We love it-small, safe town, good schools, and awesome marching band! *wink* Dry county, so to get a beer is 15 minutes, harder is 35 minutes. It's a mixed(shaken, not stirred) blessing.
stacey, beta-nutreic peptide. A hormone given off by a stressed-out heart.
mayberry-I'll be in Magee tomorrow. One day we will have to plan to meet for lunch!

Hey, if you end up at UMC for a sleep study let me know and I'll come draw cute pictures on your face with magic marker and take pictures... Oh wait, that doesn't help, does it? Sorry. Kick this thing's ass, Clucky. It's no match for you.
And for the record, I know where Union is! (Or Onion, as my dad likes to say.) My dad's family is from that area, his grandparents are buried in Little Rock, MS, and we went through Union one day when he took me down there to show me around. He practically grew up there.
Ralph Gordon just published a book called "The Invasion of '64." You should get it for your dad, Susan. I am sure he will remember and recognize a lot of the names and happenings. I bought it this weekend and couldn't put it down.

Hmmm. '64. I do believe I've heard mention of that time, and yes, I'm sure he will recognize a lot of it. I'd have to preview it though. Depending on which side it's written from, he'll either love it or it'll land him back in the hospital from a stroke! He's rather opinionated on events from that time and can get worked up quickly.
Where'd you find the book? I'm wondering if I can buy it locally or if I'd have to order it. Surely somebody here would have it.
I'll post the number on here when I find it-Ralph lives here in town.
It addresses the governments invasion of this area following the murders. It tells a side I never knew about, and no one ever talks about. Very very good book. I'm sure your dad would agree with his story.

Yep. I need to find it for him. He and Mom have both talked about how the search reached into their community (Burnside) and how they could sit on their porches and watch the lights from the searchers in the woods at night, and see people walking up and down the roads at all hours. Gives me shivers to hear them talk about it. I've also heard a lot about how the town changed almost overnight after that.
Clucky, sleep apnea is a major contributor to Marty's heart problems. I have been thinking of you and wishing you well. My husband's last day is today in
Carthage. The move is getting close. YIKES!!
