It's their job. There's an interloper in their house and they have to tame the wild beast. Our tree got domesticated quickly severeal years ago, as you can imagine.
I like kitties but I couldn't have one in the house anymore. (A) My husband would freak out (B) If any of my keepsake ornaments got broken, well, it wouldn't be pretty.

Yeah. Just wait till it's the middle of the night, you hear a loud crash and jump up, thinking you've got a burgler. And, of course, find yourself vacuuming broken ornaments out of the carpet while kitty looks on, feeling not the slightest bit guilty.
Fun times.
this reminds me of national lampoon's christmas vacation when the squirrel flies out of the tree and attacks...LOL!!!
My Golden who will be 1 this month was busted the other day. He had pulled one of my homemade ornaments off the tree and was tearing it apart. Needless to say he got his butt beat and put out the door for a little while. He is very interested in the tree. I'm waiting on him to pull a branch off since he likes to eat wood.
kitties are so cute at christmas! They love those low-lying ornaments! My late Missy more than my Tango... but Tango sure loves hanging out on the tree skirt taking in the heat of the lights like your cat there.
